About me
My name is Ilia Smelkov, and I am the Audio Lead at Roar Games, located in Belgrade, Serbia.
I graduated from sound design courses in 2017 and started my career in film production as a location sound mixer, later transitioning into game sound design.
After beginning my career as a sound designer and working on multiple AAA games, I eventually shifted to indie development and released my rhythm-shooter game BlasterBeat.
Currently, I work as an Audio Lead and Unreal Engine generalist, combining my experience as an indie developer and sound designer for AAA games.
My main passion is creating engaging audio-visual experiences. I enjoy both producing and managing projects, as well as diving into technical implementation.
